Elive 2.0 is almost ready!!
Elive is finally almost ready to be released.
The new version is gonna rock the linux world to the bottom really!I have been complaining about the menu problem quite much, finally, it is solved!
From version 1.9.23 the menu are finally in good order and a lot of minor stuff have been ironed out as well…
I installed it and it was a pleasure to use! there are still minor graphical quirks here and there, but these are problems related to the theme or the e17 windows manager, and not to Elive.
There is also another version based on Ecomorph, a clone of compiz, which has a nice amount of eye candy for who needs it…I prefer the plain old flavour that I have been using in the last year.
Amazing linux really, Debian under the hood has sufficient horsepower to make it fly, and the lightness of e17 is unbeatable, although heavier than Gem, this development version flies on “couple of years” old computers.
